2025 Municipal Election filing dates are from 8:00 a.m., Monday, June 2, 2025 to 5:00 p.m., Monday, June 6, 2025.  To file for office – contact your Municipal Office.

All ballots must be received by an election official either in person or in a drop box before 8:00 p.m., on Election Day (August 12, 2025 Primary Election) (November 4, 2025 General Election) to be counted.  Postmarks no longer count, so if you’re mailing your ballot, be sure to mail it early, or drop it in one of the available drop boxes, or bring in person to one of the vote centers.  See drop box and vote center locations below.

Polling Locations (Vote Centers) – Election Day:

The vote centers will be available on Election Day (Tuesday, August 12, 2025 & Tuesday, November 4, 2025) from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., for those who may require assistance, or may have issues with their ballot, i.e.: spoiled, torn or damaged, or did not receive a ballot, need to make name and/or address changes, missed the deadline to register to vote, etc., or simply wish to hand deliver their voted ballot.

All voters registered in Millard County may drop off their voted ballot, in the sealed envelope, at the vote centers (listed above) during the 2025 Municipal Primary Election, or at one of the outside drop box locations 24 hours a day, up to 8:00 p.m. on Election Day (locations listed above).

***The County will be contracting with the municipalities who have an Election in 2025; therefore, for this election, voters may use the drop boxes to deposit their ballots and the vote centers to remedy any ballot issues.

All ballots will be paper ballots, with the exception of those who may require assistance via an electronic vote machine.  All ballots will be mailed to the mailing address we have on file for each active registered voter, so be sure to update your mailing address with our office.   Also, remember to sign the return envelope, where indicated, and include a telephone number and/or email address to help us contact you if there is an issue with your signature.  Ballots of those whose signature is challenged cannot be counted until the signature is remedied.

Election staff will be present on Election Day to assist those voters who require special amenities, did not receive a ballot for whatever reason, missed the deadline to register to vote and/or have issues with their ballot, etc..

Voters needing assistance with their mailed ballot If you cannot read or mark a mailed ballot, we can provide assistance or the use of a ballot marking device with accessible features (e.g. audio ballot, touch screen, large print, high contrast).  If you need assistance with voting your ballot or you have ballot issues, please contact the Millard County Clerk’s Office 435-743-6223; 435-864-2440

·         All ballots will be in the form of paper and will be mailed to each registered voter eligible to vote the upcoming Election.  If you have ballot issues: did not receive a ballot, tore or damaged your ballot, please contact the Clerk’s Office ASAP.

·         If you would prefer to vote in person, rather than mailing your ballot through the mail, please bring in the ballot that was mailed to you, along with a picture ID to one of the two vote centers during early voting or on Election Day;  OR

·         Personally drop your ballot in one of the outside drop boxes; 24 hours a day, up to 8:00 p.m. on Election Day (see locations above).  Drop boxes are a convenient way of returning your ballot without having to use a stamp to mail, or to avoid long wait lines at a vote center.

·         If mailing your ballot, it must be received by an election official before 8:00 p.m., on Election Day.  Postmarks no longer count.

·         Ballots cannot be forwarded, not even from a street address to a post office box, or vice versa.  To ensure you receive your ballot, visit vote.utah.gov to make sure your mailing address is current.

Please note that if your municipality contracts with the County to run its election that election will be held by mail.  Therefore, if you reside within a municipality that has an election, your ballot will come from the County and will be required to be returned to the County.  There will be no polling locations offered in any city/town, with the exception of the two vote centers offered by the County.
